[Mars Yard Overshoe]

Nike and artist Tom Sachs, promoting the culture of anti-consumerism in his work, continue their collaboration. This time, the object of the collaboration was the Mars Yard Overshoe, which in fact is the classic Mars Yard with an extended tongue and "cover" on top.

In general, the Mars Yard model was originally developed as footwear for walking on Mars. The first version, released in 2012, failed the tests and in the next version - Mars Yard 2.0, the bugs were fixed and it passed the tests.
The Overshoe version is in the "case" for a reason. Tom Sachs himself calls them March Shoe, since in fact they are ideally suited for March weather conditions - dampness and slush. The material used on top will not let moisture through, and a stable and tenacious SFB sole will not allow slipping on the ice that has not melted yet. The fixation system turned out to be very high-tech - these are puffsand straps. Their proper use is demonstrated in the video accompanying this release. The first batch will be released on October 11 at the Dover Street Market through a raffle.
