Last 2017 year marked the 35th anniversary of the legendary model from the Oregon sports giant.

The silhouette of the Nike Air Force model, which used the «Cupsole» outsole, was designed in 1982 by designer Bruce Kilgore for basketball. The model was named after the aircraft of the President of the United States – Air Force One ("Board number one").
Sneakers became the first basketball model with Nike Air technology, revolutionizing the game and rapidly gaining popularity among fans of street basketball and representatives of hip-hop culture around the world.

Another iteration of the model received a more experimental design. To fixed on the slings and elongated tongue, as well as tape with D-ring element on the heel to control the sneakers while putting on was added the new for AF1 system (previously used in Nike Komyuter) of shoe fixing.

In 2007 the German company Fidlock patented and opened production of revolutionary technology of fasteners for clothes, and also accessories and elements of equipment. The main principle of the company's technology is an effective, fast and reliable system of fasteners. The neodymium magnet is built into the mechanical stabilization lock providing instant locking/unlocking of the latch. In one movement of the hand, you can open or close the required element without making almost any effort.
For Air Force 1 Utility, the company used a 40mm buckle with tape that completely replaces the original lacing system. This solution completely updates the appearance of the model and definitely relies on its utility, referring to the name. And the inscription on the tongue "Developed and tested in Beaverton, Oregon, USA" does not doubt it.
Sneakers are already available on the official website and in brand stores.
