We were always fascinated by the beauty of different textiles. When you see such detailed picture of the structure of some amazing fabric, you can definitely understand the whole world of exploration and development behind its creation. And you are just mesmerized by the beauty of it. So we started our THM MACROSHOTS editorial series, where we explore the complexity, depth and beauty of different fabrics, textiles, materials, and hardware through the macro lens.

Our new macro-editorial exploring the details of the Inner Surface Technology All Weather Parka from Descente Allterrain. An unusual silhouette of a knee-length raincoat, with all the technologies and details inherent in the Japanese perfectionists from Descente. The Allterrain line is an all-weather, minimalist collection inspired by the slogan "form follows function" by the American architect Louis Henry Sullivan, also known as the "father of American modernism".

The raincoat is made using the DERMIZAX ® AIRY LIGHT WOVEN membrane (20K water-resistance). It is equipped with an Inner Surface Technology ventilation system on the inside of the jacket in combination with a front double ventilation with a zipper [a mesh panel that allows airflow to increase the maintenance of an ideal level of temperature and humidity inside the jacket]; unique Parahood system [the hood can be closed when not in use to prevent unpleasant accumulation of water or snow around the neck and upper body, and very quickly opened and prepared for use with a zipper]; laser-cut elements, elastic cuffs, fully sealed zippers and seams. This product is a sample, but completely repeats the finished version of the jacket.
