So we started our THM MACROSHOTS editorial series, where we explore the complexity, depth, and beauty of different fabrics, textiles, materials, and hardware through the macro lens.
We are pleased to welcome you to the second chapter of norda™ where the story continues and evolves to take on new challenges. The protagonist is the new hyper-responsive norda™ 002 and the goal is to reach the highest peaks and bumpiest trails through speed, lightness, and precision. This is why a counter-trend approach has been taken: where trail-runner midsoles seem to be getting taller and thicker, the already eponymous brand has engineered and developed a thinner and lighter sole, bringing us closer to Earth.

Vibram®'s new exclusive midsole reduces weight and height while improving the energy return and heel lock needed to reach higher terrain, achieving maximum ground feel.
The custom midsole is designed with a pyramid geometry that tends to widen downward to increase foot stability and safety, providing a secure footing in technical environments.

The new model stack height is 19 mm at the heel and 15 mm at the toe. They become 24 mm/20 mm when we add the TPU insole.
Vibram® 's Litebase® and Megagrip® mixed compound tread, inspired by the rock formation of the Canadian Shield and featuring directional lugs, stretches and rises at the heel, providing unparalleled traction in all conditions during both ascent and descent.

norda™ has chosen to use bio-based Dyneema® fiber with a ripstop-like weave, which, thanks to its technical properties, is indestructible, lightweight, breathable, and soft. 75% of the energy used to manufacture Dyneema® fiber comes from renewable energy sources saving C02 emissions in addition, the ability to use the shoe is guaranteed at every run, thanks to the incredible durability of the upper.
The padded collar construction wraps the foot under the ankle to lock the heel in place during the run, leaving freedom for the forefoot to flex.
