Probably everyone who is somehow familiar with the world of trail running gets goosebumps when UTMB is mentioned. Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc is one of the most iconic, massive, interesting and challenging international trail running races, taking place around the slopes of Mont Blanc (4809 m) at the end of each summer. The race with a length of 170 kilometers and an elevation gain of 10,000 meters passes through the territories of France, Switzerland and Italy.

After the postponement of the race in 2020 due to the pandemic, the legendary race hosted more than 10,000 athletes from 90 countries this year throughout all of the distances during an eventful 7 days. The most difficult race, where we saw so many triumphs of human determination and sheer willpower, took place under strict sanitary restrictions. However, this did not prevent everyone, who was able to participate and spectate, from enjoying its greatness.
We had a chance to experience this indescribable atmosphere of the race, as well as the energy and beauty of the Alps together with our colleagues and friends from Highsnobiety, Sneaker Freaker, Hiking Patrol, l.holl, 114.index and advanced.rock. We traveled through the valley, watched the race, supported the athletes, and captured it for you.
