This Special Edition Continental Jacket marks a collaborative release between TECHUNTER Magazine and POUTNIK by Tilak, developed in connection with the interview produced for the TECHUNTER 10 Anniversary Issue. It brings together our ongoing exploration of technical apparel and editorial curiosity with Czech technical manufacturing under one functional silhouette.
We are genuinely proud of this release.
POUTNIK is an urban-focused line by Czech outdoor specialists TILAK, producing high-quality garments exclusively at their own European factories since 1986.
They were also among the first outdoor apparel manufacturers to receive an exclusive GORE-TEX licence in the 1990s and have consistently maintained their level of quality and production standards ever since.
The POUTNIK line was developed in collaboration with Errolson Hugh from ACRONYM and BOA Design Studio in the late 2010s, combining technical production precision and fabric excellence with modern silhouettes and design tailored for the “Urban Traveller”.

The foundation of our collaboration is the Continental Jacket.
The silhouette combines the cropped authority of a classic motorcycle jacket with the insulated volume and functional logic of an MA-1 pilot bomber.
This hybrid language defines the piece as a whole – protective yet mobile, structured yet adaptable, equally suited to urban movement and transitional outdoor conditions.

The shell is constructed from 2-layer GORE-TEX INFINIUM™, providing windproof performance and weather resistance while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. Insulation is delivered through CLIMASHIELD® APEX 100 g, a continuous-filament synthetic insulation valued for its durability, consistent warmth, and performance in damp environments. All fastenings are YKK®, chosen for long-term reliability.
Storage is generous and intentional – four front pockets, one inner pocket, one large double-sided back pocket, and zippered sleeves that support ventilation and ease of movement.

For this collaboration, we explored ways to emphasize the jacket’s inspiration and experiment with its form. To celebrate its motorcycling heritage and feature our 2026 community update, a large embroidered TECHUNTERS WORLDWIDE (TECHNICAL APPAREL ENTHUSIASTS CLUB) logo is seam-taped directly through the shell – the largest seam-taped embroidery ever executed by Tilak in nearly 40 years of working with GORE-TEX.
The embroidery is complemented by an oversized rear pocket, precisely engineered to fit the upcoming TECHUNTER 10 Anniversary Magazine (210 × 280 mm), turning the jacket into a literal carrier of content as well as protection. The pocket is also versatile enough to hold other A4 documents or an iPad, letting you carry essentials while moving through the city with ease.
The jacket is manufactured in the Czech Republic at Tilak’s facility, a testament to their long-standing commitment to in-house production, controlled quality, and technical precision.
Each Continental Jacket is delivered with the TECHUNTER 10 Anniversary Magazine, featuring an exclusive factory tour and an in-depth interview with Tilak – closing the loop between product, process, and publication.
To celebrate the TECHUNTER 10-Year Anniversary Issue and the collaboration with POUTNIK by TILAK, a public event will be held in Paris on January 23. The event combines the magazine launch with a presentation of the jacket, giving visitors the chance to experience the ideas, materials, and craftsmanship behind the collaboration firsthand.
