They both found themselves in Seoul at the same time, yet their paths never crossed. It was only back in France that the encounter truly happened – carried by a shared desire to create together.

During his stay in Seoul, Maksim discovered a book titled The World’s Great Stealth and Reconnaissance Aircraft, devoted to the design of aircraft and the elegance of their lines.

When he returned, that book became the catalyst for a shared exploration. Drawn together by a mutual fascination with uniforms and formal dress, the pair chose aviation attire as their entry point.

From there, they set out to translate not only the codes of the uniform but also the structural lines and engineered features of aircraft into the language of garments.

To understand the making process, we traveled to Lyon and documented the development of the project at Tomorrow Standard studio.

A few months later, with the final samples in hand, we met with Arthur and Maksim to reflect on what the experience taught them.
