Introducing TECHUNTER AWARDS, our long-due yearly recap of everything functional and techy. Our team went back and found all of the innovative, fascinating, and just purely fun product releases, new technologies, and designs, materials, treatments, visual and informative works by our peers and colleagues to present to you in this format.

After 8 years of research and development, Goldwin & Spiber have achieved the high production of Brewed Protein™ fiber – a structural protein material developed and manufactured by Spiber. It is made from plant-derived sugars (glucose and sucrose) through a fermentation process that utilizes microorganisms, and its name comes from the fact that the manufacturing process is similar to the brewing process for alcoholic beverages. Brewed Protein™ materials, which do not rely on fossil resources such as petroleum as a raw material, are regarded as the key next-generation materials that contribute to leading a sustainable society.

Bio-Dyneema® has been used for the upper, a testament to the convergence of material science and outdoor functionality. The shoe also features a Graphene layer allowing it to to adapt to ambient conditions, providing a comfortable microclimate for the foot.

They first premiered in 2020 in the form of a live exhibition and in 2023 ATT continues to evolve its conceptual research in visual language and community activity through performances, workshops and collaborations. For this particular performance ATT showcases its new iteration of uniform in collaboration with brands such as _J.L-A.L_, SOAR and VIBRAM. These products are all developed for elite level functionality – something that is required for ATT’s art and performances. They first premiered in 2020 in the form of a live exhibition and in 2023 ATT continues to evolve its conceptual research in visual language and community activity through performances, workshops and collaborations. For this particular performance ATT showcases its new iteration of uniform in collaboration with brands such as _J.L-A.L_, SOAR and VIBRAM. These products are all developed for elite level functionality – something that is required for ATT’s art and performances.
