For our forth year in the capital of functional fashion and the Mecca of all trail fanatics, we find ourselves again in Chamonix for the 2024 installment of UTMB, the most prestigious trail running race and the brightest moment for this industry in Europe and the world.

This year brought not only the most amount of new faces and trail runners from across the world, but some of the most exciting gear releases, shoe drops and parties we have seen in this valley. Throughout the week we were able to walk around the expo village and the town of Chamonix to capture some of the coolest shit we've spotted on our friends, partners, and random people.

The honorable mention this year – Salomon S/LAB Ultra Glide, positioned as their newest and vibrant S/LAB shoe. Designed for a wider range of runners, this unusually chunky and, well, wide silhouette designed by the industries’s darling and our good friend Erik Arlen of FOARMS studio, presents a new philosophy in design and consumer priority. Everything here is made for a user to run further and easier, utilizing a unique 3 piece base with different hardness of foam and a knit upper that expands with the swelling of the feet along the run. Decked out in signature red and white, these shoes are a divergence from the more traditionally Pro only Salomons we come to expect at UTMB, yet the move to democratizing ultra trail is highly appreciated.
