In the lush forests of northern Oregon, something rare is unfolding — a legendary Canadian bird, known for its origins in the Coast Mountain Range near Vancouver, BC, has been spotted 300 miles south of its natural habitat. This powerhouse has not only established a winter home, but also a summer home, an office, an ecosystem, and a supportive community that rivals any other. The Portland Metro area, rich with design knowledge and legacy brands, has become a hub for innovation. Among these global leaders, Arc'teryx stands out, having opened its Portland Creation Center with a focus on footwear, marking a unique evolution in both the brand and the region. We visited the center to explore this exciting development and share what we discovered.
