COL DU BRÉVENT
Editorial [Revealing
TECHUNTER 10 ANNIVERSARY]
Above the Col du Brévent, the landscape sharpens into something almost architectural – a high-alpine pass shaped by glacial erosion, where ancient ice once carved steep granite faces and exposed crystalline rock that dates back hundreds of millions of years.

Positioned within the Aiguilles Rouges massif, opposite Mont Blanc, the terrain is defined by its mineral clarity, abrupt verticality, and constant exposure to shifting atmospheric systems.
Here, altitude is not just elevation but pressure – on the body, on materials, on perception. Wind corridors accelerate unpredictably, UV intensity spikes, and temperature gradients compress into a single ridgeline. It’s a place where geology, climate, and movement intersect with unusual precision.

To explore this environment beyond the obvious, we invited local climber Alisa Sidorova to move through the terrain with us – not as a guide, but as someone who understands its rhythm intuitively. Supported by Houdini Sportswear, Samaya Equipment, District Vision, Klättermusen, Portal, Clara Knitwear, and Db Journey, the project unfolds as both a study of motion and a test of systems – garments, equipment, and human response operating within a landscape that refuses compromise.
