Chamonix is a
Capital of Great Gear
2025 [Gear Gallery]
Chamonix – the Capital of Great Gear – once again turned into the center of the trail running universe for UTMB 2025. For the fifth time, we came back to this buzzing mountain town, and every year it feels like the energy just multiplies.

Quick refresher in case someone is new here: UTMB – Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc – is one of the most iconic ultra-distance trail races in the world. The main race is a brutal 171 km journey with more than 10 000 m of elevation gain around Mont Blanc, crossing France, Italy, and Switzerland.

For the athletes, it’s the unofficial world championship of trail running.

For us – it’s Coachella for trail running, and this year really proved why.
The whole city transformed into a giant expo – stores launched new products, brands unveiled collections and innovations, and dozens of activations popped up all around. The Ultra Trail Village (expo) became twice bigger than last year. It was a mix of science fair, festival, and high-performance lab – all under the shadow of Mont Blanc.

This year was the busiest for us so far, and yes, we missed a few cool activations. But we managed to bring back our favorite series: Gear Gallery – our hunt for the coolest, freshest finds on the streets of Chamonix. Among the highlights we spotted: TheRocker by SATISFY, J.L-A.L × HOKA Mafate X, The North Face Flora Alpina collection, Salomon Ultra Glide, the revival of Nike ACG via their Racing Department, and more.

Each piece of gear is more than just equipment – it’s a glimpse into the future of running, where design, materials, and performance collide. And Chamonix during UTMB is the perfect place to witness this collision.

UTMB is about racing. But it’s also about ideas, innovations, and the culture of trail running itself.

See why below.
If you still haven’t made it here – and you're an enthusiast of trails and cool gear – let this be your fifth reminder: book your trip for 2026. We’re sure it will be even bigger, louder, and cooler. Huge thanks to the HOKA team for the hospitality and support throughout this adventure.
