Lisi Trail Race by TrailLab
[Photo-report]

Recently, part of our team moved to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, where we immediately started exploring the city and its surroundings. Tbilisi is the largest city in Georgia, with a population of about 1.2 million people, founded in the V century and located in the Tbilisi basin, stretching a narrow strip for almost 30 km in the valley of the Kura River and along the slopes of the most beautiful mountains adjacent on three sides. The height above sea level is 380-770 m. There are also areas with 6-, 7- and 8-point seismicity that has been identified in the vicinity of Tbilisi [as we have experienced ourselves recently].
Being big fans of trail-running and exploring nature's locations through running, as well as having already visited several major races in Russia and around the world, we were pleased to discover a local running event – the Lisi Trail Race festival from TrailLab.

Without any doubt and with great excitement we attended the race, participating in the Fun Run, as an initial stage of our exploration of the local nature. Despite the wet and gloomy weather, we managed to successfully traverse muddy paths, jump on rocks, run through forests, wade a stream, and breathe the clean mountain air. It turned out to be a good-natured and homely-atmosphere event while being certified by the ITRA index and included in the UTMB® World Series Qualifiers [check our photo report from UTMB 2021 at the link one and two].

Below is our brief non-official photo report from the race.
Special thanks to TrailLab for such a well-organized event.
Will definitely join again during the season!
